David Gogo recently released his 14th album “Vicksburg Call” that included a stop at the L’Astral Theatre in Montreal on his launch tour.
“I feel that the album is my strongest to date,” Gogo says. “The album mostly has that riff rockin’ feel, and when you hear the beats, you’ll jump out of your seat. I had a lot of fun making Vicksburg Call and I’m really looking forward to taking it on the road and playing it live.”

A career that spans more than 30 years. A long list of accolades, awards and nominations include a JUNO nod for Best New Artist in 1995, JUNO nominations for Blues Album of the Year, 16 Maple Blues Awards nominations (winning Guitarist of the Year in 2002 and again in 2004), two Canadian Indie Awards, three Western Canadian Music Awards nominations (including a win in 2012 for Blues Recording of the Year) and the Best Canadian Blues Musician from CBC Radio’s Saturday Night Blues.

David has opened for Buddy Guy, Little Feat, Charles Bradley, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Foreigner, The Tragically Hip, George Thorogood and a long list of others. He is one of Canada’s hardest working blues musicians (and is probably sitting an enviable air miles balance)!
