A selection of images taken at the 2018 Festival International de Jazz de Montréal at a variety of the festival stages and venues. The roster of shows I captured includes “regulars” as well as artists making their debut at the festival, or whom I never photographed previously. The 30th edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal was once again a resounding success that saw hundreds of thousands of spectators flock to the Quartier des Spectacles. Some of the artists I photographed include: Angel, Beth Hart, Boz Scaggs, Bryan Lee, Connor Gains, Deva Mahal, Diunna Greenleaf, Dwane Dixon, George Thorogood, Hanna Williams, Jack Broadbent, Jan Arden, Jordan Officer, Justin Saladino, “Kingfish”, Layla Zoe, Dr Lonnie Smith, Mathew Ward, Orb Mellon, Ranee Lee, RL Boyce, Stephane Moraille, Steve Hill, They Call Me Rico, Thornetta Davis and many many more!
That’s the thing about jazz: it’s free flowing, it comes from your soul.
