JP Soars and the Red Hots
JP Soars and the Red Hots photographed performing at the 40th Edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, playing the Hyundai Blues Stage. JP is a former winner of the International Blues Challenge and is based in South Florida. The Red Hots compose Chris Peet on drums and bassist Cleveland Frederick.
JP (Soars) does blues differently, mixing in a healthy dose of soul, R&B, surf, reggae, roots and country music into his blues, creating a creative brand of the blues that is pure Southern hospitality. There is so much great material on this CD…sure to become a classic. Get it while it’s hot!

JP’s Music Video “Southbound I-95”, the title track off his new CD – a personal favourite. That track should be the anthem for Canadian Snowbirds heading south.
Soars’ voice and guitar are the glue that holds the album together. Both are the common thread through the various songs and both inject all of the tracks with a warmth and humanity. J.P. Soars is much more than just a gun-slinger.
