Reflections
Reflections have long intrigued me, especially when juxtaposed against contrasting “content” within the composition.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?

I found interesting results occurred when “not” using a Polarizing filter when photographing windows or glass surfaces. I was able to carefully combine what was behind the glass with the reflection on the glass – creating competing and often contrary images that seemed implausible! A bed floating in the clouds? A huge palm tree inside an empty store? The possibilities became more and more varied and the contrasts between the two worlds of what was behind the glass and the reflection – took on an almost surreal reality of impossibilities. It turned into the continuation of images with “visual deceptions”. Things were not as they seemed! It was an honest form of visual trickery, as the images were not “photoshopped” but rather “straight images” captured by the camera sensor. It forced viewers to stop and take some time to figure out what was going on and what they were observing.
